Four municipalities in the lowland of Israel united in order to construct a conjoint Wastewater
Treatment Plant – non existent beforehand.
A design for growing influent was required. Also, a significant agricultural flow caracterized the
influent – adding Nitrogenous load.
The WWTP was designed to treat 9,000 m3/d. In the first stage 6,000 m3/d are treated. For
additional treatment there was no need for additional tankage – only for additional biomass
carriers.
An IFAS config. was designed for the plant. A 5-stage Bardenpho configuration was
implemented.
The plant operates efficiently since start up.
Growth in inflow handled successfully.
